The district respectfully requests that all students (and their families), staff, and visitors exercise self-responsibility in order to prevent a spread of COVID (and any other viral diseases) in accordance with the following guidelines:
- Healthy hygiene practices are some of the best ways to avoid contracting, or spreading, COVID. Remember to wash your hands frequently and cover your mouth and nose with a tissue (or your sleeve) when sneezing or coughing.
- In accordance with our district health guidelines (available on our website at https://www.cfsdwi.org/families/school-nurse.cfm), students, staff, and visitors who are experiencing any flu-like symptoms of illness–such as a fever of 100.4 or greater, significant gastrointestinal issues, and/or severe upper respiratory issues–need to stay home until their symptoms have resolved for at least 24 hours.
- If your child has been in close contact with someone who has COVID, it is recommended, but not required, that they wear a face covering for 10 days, regardless of vaccination status.
- The choice to wear or not wear a mask is a personal one and students or staff should not be judged based on their decision. Any school-appropriate masks that do not impair one’s ability to work or learn and are not disruptive to the school environment are acceptable.
